Job Description: Blue Water Climate Control is seeking a skilled HVAC Project Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for estimating the cost of installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial buildings. This role is crucial in providing accurate cost evaluations for our HVAC repair and installation projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are accounted for in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
Estimate the cost of installing HVAC systems in various settings, ensuring all estimates are accurate and competitive.
Provide cost evaluations in collaboration with the HVAC repair and installation team, aiding in the decision-making process for project planning.
Assume management responsibilities for small commercial and industrial projects, including fast track works.
Decide the projected timeframe for project completion, considering labor needs, materials, budgets, and potential setbacks.
Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors, becoming the point of contact for all estimation-related queries.
Proficiently handle all product offerings, estimating tools, and e-commerce software.
Create detailed quotes and respond to inbound queries and requests promptly.
Prepare estimates and purchase orders with attention to detail for all products.
Qualifications:
A degree in a relevant field with at least 5 years of experience in HVAC estimating, particularly in managing large scale projects.
Strong knowledge of building construction and HVAC design principles.
Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with personnel, vendors, and contractors.
Proven ability to manage and break new accounts.
Detail-oriented with a knack for precision in all aspects of cost estimation and project management.
